The Story Behind Marwar Vandhara Foundation

Founded in the heart of Rajasthan, Marwar Vandhara Foundation was born out of a critical realization: environmental sustainability and rural prosperity are deeply connected. In arid and semi-arid regions like Marwar, soil erosion, extreme heatwaves, and deforestation directly impact crop yields, household nutrition, and village livelihoods.
To tackle these dual challenges, our foundation pioneered a community-first approach. Rather than planting saplings in remote, unmonitored forests, we launched our flagship Doorstep Fruit-Bearing Tree Initiative. By placing fruit trees directly outside rural homes, we ensure families take personal ownership of watering and protecting them. This initiative greens villages while delivering fresh, organic nutrition directly to families.
Over time, our scope expanded to address interconnected rural needs—ranging from primary education support and preventive healthcare camps to women’s vocational skill training and rapid disaster relief.
